At this event, TheBreathing Association will bring together experts, advocates, and communitymembers to explore strategies and resources available for quitting smokingand tobacco use in the city of Columbus and Franklin County.
This event willbe hosted in conjunction with a CDC Tips From Former Smokers® (Tips®) campaignparticipant who will be one of the event’s featured speakers. The Tips®campaign profiles real people frommany different backgrounds living with serious long-term health effects fromsmoking and secondhand smoke exposure. Tips® also featurescompelling stories of the toll these smoking-related conditions have taken on family members.
We will also be joined by representativesfrom the Ohio Department of Health as well as Dr. RJ Sontag fromOhioHealth, and the Breathing Association's Dr. Iyaad Hasan. Additionally,representatives from the city of Columbus’s Make it Make Sense campaignwill share apreview of their planned activities.
